[Bacterial pollution of the littoral waters of the north of Tunisia (Tabarka and Bizerte regions) and of Lake Bizerte].

The inshore areas of Tabarka and Bizerte are not submitted to the bacterian pollution. The "Old Port" of Bizerte is mainly contaminated all the year round and sometimes polluted the neighbouring urban beach. The lagoon of Bizerte presents any bacterian pollution and could be adapted to the conchyliculture and to the stabulation of Bivalves, with before some important precautions.

[Technical note on determining the sanitary quality of edible bivalves].

The authors propose two new technics swift and accurate, to determine the sanitary quality of edible Bivalves. They experiment their technics on a sample of Mussels subjected in a conchal area to the method of self filtering.

[Evaluation of Salmonella 1977 to 1982].

Between 1977 and 1982, the National Center of Salmonella of the Institute Pasteur of Tunis has isolated; received and/or identified 1715 Salmonella strains. In typhoid and paratyphoid fevers group Salmonella typhi represent the predominant species with a frequency of 99.6%.

[Bacterial pollution of seawater: comparison of technics of sampling and analysis].

From sampling in three areas neighbouring Tunis, the first polluted, the second contaminated and the third clean, the authors point out that the technic of multiple samples using the "Lactose Broth" is the most sensible to faecal pollution.
