Wood particle boards are massively used in construction and household products. But they often raise health and environmental concerns because of the formaldehyde-based adhesives. More sustainable and high-strength particle boards are developed on a bio-based materials or their derivatives.

The association between anthropogenic heat and parent-report symptoms of childhood attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in China: A novel perspective reflecting climate change.

Anthropogenic climate change will have a negative impact on worldwide well-being over and above the direct consequences of rising average temperatures. But anthropogenic heat (AH) relationship with childhood attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is unknown. To assess the relationship with AH exposure and childhood ADHD symptoms in the context of global climate change, this study was conducted in a cross-sectional survey from April 2012 to May 2018 in the northeastern, northwestern, and southern regions of China, with a total enrollment of 179,846 children aged 6-18 years.

Discovery of a broad-spectrum monoclonal antibody recognizing a conserved, linear epitope WFYDGYPT on VP1 protein of Enterovirus A species.

Background: The hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) was caused by species of Enterovirus A and Enterovirus B in the Asian-Pacific region. Broad-spectrum monoclonal antibodies (mAb) that can bind multiple serotypes of enteroviruses have gradually become a research hotspot in the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of HFMD.

Methods: In this study, a mAb 1H4 was obtained using monoclonal antibody technology by immunizing purified virus particles of Coxsackievirus A5 (CV-A5).

Therapeutic efficacy of immunotherapy for gastric cancer metastasis.

Gastric cancer (GC) metastasis is the main cause of poor prognosis for GC patients. In recent years, breakthroughs in immunotherapy have been made in the treatment of many kinds of cancers, providing new hope for patients with GC metastasis. This paper reviews the mechanism of immunotherapy in GC metastasis and its clinical application, and discusses and compares the research and efficacy of immunotherapy in patients with liver metastasis, lung metastasis, peritoneal metastasis and lymph node metastasis of GC.

Efficacy and safety of low-dose TBI combined MAC regimen for HSCT in high-risk AML patients with active disease.

Background: The management of high-risk acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) remains challenging, highlighting the need for innovative conditioning strategies beyond current regimens.

Methods: In the present single-arm study, a FACT regimen comprised of low-dose total body irradiation (TBI) with fludarabine, cytarabine and cyclophosphamide was employed to treat cytogenetically high-risk AML patients exhibiting pre-transplant active disease. This clinical trial is registered in the Chinese Clinical Trial Registry with the registration number ChiCTR2000035111.
