The distribution of single intake atorvastatin in the content of very low, low and high density lipoproteins extracted from blood plasma of healthy volunteers by means of ultracentrifugal separation was investigated. The impact of atorvastatin on the composition of lipoprotein complexes was assessed. It is demonstrated that atorvastatin and its active derivatives transport mainly in the composition of high density lipoproteins.
