Article Synopsis
  • Herpes simplex virus (HSV) encephalitis is a serious neurological condition that can lead to temporal lobe damage and result in seizures and psychiatric symptoms, particularly affecting older adults.
  • A case study involving an older male patient revealed that he had new visual hallucinations and seizures, which led to a diagnostic journey that included CT and EEG tests, ultimately suggesting HSV encephalitis despite negative PCR results for the virus.
  • The patient improved significantly with antiviral and antiepileptic treatments, highlighting the importance of recognizing potential underlying causes of acute neuropsychiatric symptoms for timely and effective intervention.

Article Synopsis
  • Tight carbonate reservoirs are complex due to their varied mineral composition and pore structures, making effective transport modeling less common.
  • Recent studies have shifted focus to developing transport models specifically for tight carbonates, including a single and dual-porosity approach that addresses transport mechanisms like Knudsen diffusion and viscous flow.
  • The findings reveal that while the dual-porosity model showed a higher production rate, desorption had minimal impact on total production due to the low affinity of calcite for hydrocarbons compared to shale formations.

Mucinous or colloid cancers are a rare subtype of invasive ductal carcinoma, making up only 2-3% of infiltrating carcinomas. Prevalence of pure mucinous breast cancer(PMBC) among infiltrating duct carcinomas in less than 60 year olds is 2-7%, and in less than 35 year olds, it is 1%. Mucinous carcinoma of the breast is divided into 2 subtypes, the pure type and mixed type.
