For bidirectional replication in E. coli, higher-order complexes are formed at the replication origin oriC by the initiator protein DnaA, which locally unwinds the left edge of oriC to promote the loading of two molecules of DnaB onto the unwound region via dynamic interactions with the helicase-loader DnaC and the oriC-bound DnaA complex. One of the two helicases must translocate rightwards through oriC-bound DnaA complex.

Background: Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) is positively associated with the prevalence and severity of psoriasis. The fibrosis-4 (FIB-4) index was developed to predict significant liver fibrosis. Using the FIB-4 index, the present study evaluated screening data for liver fibrosis, including MASLD, in patients with refractory psoriasis treated with biologics.

Multiple myeloma (MM) cells and osteoclasts (OCs) activate with each other to cause drug resistance. Human Th1-like Vγ9Vδ2 (γδ) T cells, important effectors against tumors, can be expanded and activated ex vivo by the aminobisphosphonate zoledronic acid in combination with IL-2. We previously reported that the expanded γδ T cells effectively targeted and killed OCs as well as MM cells.
