[Transfemoral lumbar epidural phlebography in the diagnosis of intervertebral disk hernia].

The diagnosis of herniated disks with the use of lumbar epidural phlebography is discussed. Fifty patients were examined. The diagnosis was verified during the operation in 38 of 44 patients.

[Surgical treatment of communicating forms of syringomyelia].

Data concerning surgical intervention at the craniovertebral junction in 20 patients with the communicating form of syringomyelia are discussed. The method of a reconstructive operation is described. Positive changes of sensory and motor disorders were recorded in 14 patients after surgery, no changes occurred in 5 patients, one patient died.
