Minimally Invasive Reconstruction of Vertebral Arch in Spondylolisthesis in Children and Adolescents.

Unlabelled: was to assess the effectiveness of the minimally invasive technique used to reconstruct the vertebral arch with a pedicle screw hook system in grade I isthmic spondylolisthesis in comparison with the traditional technique of segment stabilization with interbody fusion.

Materials And Methods: The study included 26 patients aged from 11 to 17 years. The follow-up period lasted from 1 to 7 years.

[Laparoscopic subtotal colectomy with mesorectumectomy in case of Hirschsprung's disease in adults].

Hirschsprung's disease in adults is a rare pathology. It was suggested the new method of Hirschsprung's disease surgical treatment in adults: distal subtotal colectomy, mesorectumectomy, appendectomy with ceco-anal anastomosis. The successful experience of laparoscopic subtotal colectomy, mesorectumectomy for this pathology is described in the article.

[The role of double-ballon enteroscopy in diagnosis and treatment of polypoid syndromes of gastrointestinal tract].

It was done 192 double-ballon enteroscopies in 141 patients at the period from March 2009 to March 2012. Epithelial benign tumors were detected in 10 (7.1%) patients with congenital polypoid syndromes.

Biological production and eutrophication of Baltic Sea estuarine ecosystems: the Curonian and Vistula Lagoons.

The long-term data on the temporal and spatial changes of chlorophyll and nutrients concentrations, phytoplankton biomass, primary production and mineralization of organic matter in the Curonian and Vistula Lagoons were analyzed using seasonal data to 1994 and monthly data to 2007 at 9-12 stations. A comparison with hydrological (water temperature, salinity, water exchange) and chemical parameters indicate the main abiotic factors which influence the level of biological production and the trophic state of lagoons. Most of the Curonian Lagoon showed the strong summer warming-up of water (higher 20 degrees C) combined with freshwater conditions, slow-flow velocity and high concentrations of phosphorus which creates conditions for hyperblooms of Cyanobacteria.
