Pyrethroid pesticide residues have detrimental effects on soil ecology and crop growth during insecticidal operations in agriculture. In this study, a novel strain VF-2 was isolated from long-term pesticide-treated cropland and had a maximum degradation efficiency of 81.66% for synthetic pyrethroid β-cypermethrin (β-CY) under optimized conditions.

The Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) is recognized as one of the revolutionary technologies driving smart manufacturing and improving productivity. As manufacturing processes grow increasingly intricate, the entire manufacturing ecosystem encompasses multiple managed IoT domains. Within this highly interconnected environment, devices from diverse domains must collaborate, leading to considerable apprehensions about the security and privacy of device-to-device communications.

Chemotherapy including platinum-based drugs are a possible strategy to enhance the immune response in advanced melanoma patients who are resistant to immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) therapy. However, the immune-boosting effects of these drugs are a subject of controversy, and their impact on the tumor microenvironment are poorly understood. In this study, we discovered that lipid peroxidation (LPO) promotes the formation of lipid rafts in the membrane, which mediated by Acyl-CoA Synthetase Long Chain Family Member 4 (ACSL4) impairs the sensitivity of melanoma cells to platinum-based drugs.

Background: Inflammation is a potential mechanism underlying the development of white matter lesions (WMLs) and cerebral atrophy. We aimed to investigate the relationship of fibrinogen levels with WMLs and cerebral atrophy in patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS).

Methods: A total of 701 AIS patients were enrolled.
