Usability and Quality Evaluation of the "E- Midwife" Mobile Application for Nurse-Midwives in Obstetric Complications: A Randomized Controlled Trial.

Background: Obstetric complications are illnesses that develop during childbirth. Smartphones, which facilitate the use of prompt features in the early diagnosis of challenges and quick delivery of respectful maternity care, are one of the most recent advances in health technology. The key objective of this project is to evaluate the usability and quality of the "E-Midwife" mobile application for nurse-midwives, which focuses on obstetric complications.

Comparison of the Efficacy of Opioid-Free Anesthesia With Conventional Opioid-Based Anesthesia for Nasal Surgeries - A Prospective Randomized Parallel Arm Triple-Blinded Study.

Introduction In the setting of nasal surgeries, the use of opioid-free anesthesia involving the use of dexmedetomidine, and lignocaine is being investigated as a potential alternative to opioids. This combination of drugs provides sympatholysis, pain relief, and sedative properties, thereby aiming at reducing the negative effects commonly associated with opioid usage. The objective of this study is to evaluate and compare the effectiveness of opioid-free anesthesia using dexmedetomidine and lignocaine versus conventional opioid anesthesia with fentanyl for nasal surgeries.

Clinical Equivalence of Monoglyde® and Monocryl® Absorbable Poliglecaprone-25 Sutures: A Single-Blind, Randomized Study.

Objectives: Poliglecaprone-25 is a synthetic monofilament suture commonly used for post-cesarean subcuticular skin closure. The present study was designed to assess the effect of subcuticular skin closure using Monoglyde® vs. Monocryl® poliglecaprone-25 absorbable sutures on the risk of wound composite outcomes in the first 30 days post-partum [surgical site infection (SSI), wound dehiscence, hematoma or seroma].

Pulmonary Vocal Syndrome.

Vocal cord paralysis is a common entity with diverse causes clinically manifesting as dysphonia. Vocal cord paralysis due to respiratory cause is due to involvement of left recurrent laryngeal nerve usually secondary to bronchogenic carcinoma. However, it can also be seen in association with other less well recognised causes such as pulmonary tuberculosis.
