Industrial organic dyes represent a significant portion of pollutants discharged into the environment, particularly by the textile industry. These compounds pose serious threats to living organisms due to their high toxicity. Various techniques have been explored for the degradation of organic dyes, among which heterogeneous photocatalysis utilising titanium dioxide (TiO) stands out as a promising technology.

Background: Interleukin-18 (IL-18) is recognized for its pro-inflammatory properties and plays a central role in the progression of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The specific single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), rs1946518 (-607C>A) and rs187238 (-137G), that are found in the IL-18 promoter region can potentially impact the expression of the IL-18 gene. This study aimed to investigate the correlation between these two polymorphisms and RA in the Iranian population.

Engagement in scientific discourse is an essential part of becoming a scientist. In this exploratory study, we aim to examine the scientific discourse (and resulting benefits) between undergraduate biology students and professional scientists. We developed a novel method for engaging in scientific discourse, grounded in the theory of legitimate peripheral participation, where undergraduate biology students participate in communities of practice within their own departments.

The increasing effective, detectable, and targeted anticancer systems are driven by the growing cancer incidence and the side effects of current drugs. Natural products like saponin and apigenin have emerged as valuable compounds for precise treatment. Recent advancements in bioactive metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have introduced multifunctional particles suitable for cellular imaging, targeted drug delivery, and early cancer treatment.

Up-regulation of the microRNA-625 and abnormal expression of the Sox2 gene have been studied and seen in several tumors. Few reports have also shown the aberrant expression of miR-625 and Sox2 expression in various cancers. Several studies have also confirmed that phosphatidylinositol 3' -kinase /protein kinase B pathways regulate hematological malignancies, including Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).
