Background: The shortage of medical resources in rural China reflects the health inequity in resource-limited settings, whereas telemedicine could provide opportunities to fill this gap. However, evidence of patient acceptance of telemedicine services from low- and middle-income countries is still lacking.

Objective: We aimed to understand the profile of patient end-user telemedicine use and identify factors influencing telemedicine service use in rural China.

Objective: This study will evaluate the effectiveness of Guangdong Second Provincial General Hospital's Digital Health Kiosk program, which uses the Dingbei telemedicine platform to connect rural clinicians to physicians in upper-level health facilities and provide access to artificial intelligence-enabled diagnostic support.

The Role of the Precuneus in Human Spatial Updating in a Real Environment Setting-A cTBS Study.

As we move through an environment, we update positions of our body relative to other objects, even when some objects temporarily or permanently leave our field of view-this ability is termed egocentric spatial updating and plays an important role in everyday life. Still, our knowledge about its representation in the brain is still scarce, with previous studies using virtual movements in virtual environments or patients with brain lesions suggesting that the precuneus might play an important role. However, whether this assumption is also true when healthy humans move in real environments where full body-based cues are available in addition to the visual cues typically used in many VR studies is unclear.

Detection of Salmonella species in a variety of foods by the DuPont Bax system real-time PCR assay for Salmonella: first action 2013.02.

A multilaboratory study was conducted to evaluate the ability of the DuPont BAX System Real-Time PCR Assay for Salmonella to detect the target species in a variety of foods and environmental surfaces. Internal validation studies were performed by DuPont Nutrition & Health on 24 different sample types to demonstrate the reliability of the test method among a wide variety of sample types. Two of these matrixes-pork and turkey frankfurters and pasteurized, not-from-concentrate orange juice without pulp-were each evaluated in 14 independent laboratories as part of the collaborative study to demonstrate repeatability and reproducibility of the internal laboratory results independent of the end user.

Dealing with an information overload of health science data: structured utilisation of libraries, distributed knowledge in databases and Web content.

The organizational structures of web contents and electronic information resources must adapt to the demands of a growing volume of information and user requirements. Otherwise the information society will be threatened by disinformation. The biomedical sciences are especially vulnerable in this regard, since they are strongly oriented toward text-based knowledge sources.
