Background: Quality indicators are essential tools for the assessment of health care, in particular for guideline-based procedures.
Objective: Development of a set of indicators for the evaluation of process and outcomes quality in atopic dermatitis (AD) care. Application of the indicators to a cross-sectional study and creation of a global process quality index.
Background: Healthcare planning requires robust data on the prevalence and need for care of dermatological diseases. To date, no systematic data in population-based samples are available for Germany.
Objectives: Determination of the prevalence of skin lesions and of the need for care based on dermatological examinations in working adults in Germany.
A 50-year-old man presented with progressive gastrointestinal symptoms. An abdominal computed tomography scan demonstrated a 12 x 12-cm pancreatic mass involving the greater curvature of the stomach and multiple hypervascular hepatic metastases. An initial fine needle aspiration of the pancreatic mass was nondiagnostic, and a subsequent fine needle aspiration of a liver mass was read as metastatic acinar cell carcinoma.

Background: To compare kinematics, kinetics and muscle activity during standing and walking for healthy subjects using an unstable test shoe (Masai Barefoot Technology, MBT) and a stable control shoe.
Methods: Eight subjects volunteered for this study. During quiet standing, center of pressure excursion and muscle activity were determined.
