Purpose: Cisplatin is a chemotherapeutic agent with potential nephrotoxicity. Delayed increase in serum creatinine after cisplatin administration shows that serum creatinine may not be a sufficient marker for early detection of nephrotoxicity. Urinary insulin-like growth factor binding protein-7 (IGFBP7) and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases-2 (TIMP-2) which are cell-cycle arrest biomarkers have been proposed recently for early detection of acute kidney injury (AKI).

The objective of this study was to evaluate bone mineral density (BMD) and 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25(OH)D) levels in patients with ocular pseudoexfoliation (PEX) syndrome. Subjects with ocular PEX syndrome were included in the PEX group and subjects without PEX syndrome were defined as the control group. 25(OH)D levels were measured by chemiluminescence microparticle immunoassay method.
