Introduction: hydatid disease, caused by Echinococcus granulosus, primarily affects the liver and lungs, with splenic involvement being exceedingly rare, occurring in only 0.5 % of cases. This case report highlights a 17-year-old male presenting with a complicated hydatid cyst in the lung, along with an incidental splenic cyst, emphasizing the importance of single-stage surgery in treating multi-organ hydatid disease.

The objective of this study was to describe the characteristics of burns in diabetics hospitalized at the CTB of Tunis over 18 months. During the study period, 891 patients were hospitalized, including 43 diabetics (5%).

Despite advances in diabetes care, impaired diabetic wound healing remains a significant clinical problem. The present study was aimed at developing a novel cream based on extract and investigating its wound healing effect on full-thickness wounds in diabetic rats. The topical formulated oil-in-water emulsion-based cream contains aqueous extract in an amount of about 1% to 5% as an active agent.
