Clinical Impact of Neoadjuvant Therapy for Resectable Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma: A Single-Center Retrospective Study.

Background: Neoadjuvant therapy is recommended for treating resectable pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC); however, its appropriate use in patients with resectable PDAC remains debatable.

Objective: This study aimed to identify independent poor prognostic factors and evaluate the clinical significance of neoadjuvant therapy in patients with resectable PDAC.

Methods: We retrospectively reviewed consecutive patients diagnosed with resectable PDAC at our institute between January 2003 and December 2022.

Intraoperative tumor capsule injury in patients with renal cell carcinoma receiving partial nephrectomy.

Objective: We investigated the impact of intraoperative tumor capsule injury (TCI) during robot-assisted partial nephrectomy (RAPN) or laparoscopic partial nephrectomy (LPN) on oncological outcomes, as well as underlying factors of intraoperative TCI for improving surgical outcomes.

Methods: A total of 253 patients who underwent RAPN or LPN between 2010 and 2022 were retrospectively analyzed and were divided into two groups: non-TCI and TCI groups. The background was compared between two groups.

Background and purpose The risk of rupture increases with advancing age. However, the risk-benefit of coil embolization for elderly patients with unruptured aneurysms is controversial. This study aimed to identify factors associated with treatment primary outcomes, including risk factors for complications and aneurysm recurrence requiring re-treatment in the endovascular treatment of unruptured aneurysms in elderly patients.

Evaluating Graft Loss Risk in Living-Donor Kidney Transplants with Multiple Renal Arteries.

BACKGROUND Despite its surgical complexity, kidney transplantation (KT) with multiple renal arteries (MRA) is comparable in performance to KT with a single renal artery (SRA). This study aimed to evaluate the effect of MRA and to investigate risk factors for graft loss in living-donor KT with MRA.
