This study examines the exploratory behaviour of music listening through auditory approaches that support visual-based methods to foster musical comprehension. Drawing from case studies of young music learners between the ages of 7 and 8, qualitative data were collected through lesson observations, interviews, game-based assessments, and performance evaluations of a prepared piece.

Construction of carbon dot-embedded fluorescent hydrogels based on oxidized gum arabic-gelatin Schiff base for Cr(VI) detection applications.

In this study, a novel nitrogen-doped carbon quantum dot/oxidized gum arabic-gelatin-based fluorescent probe (NAH) was prepared using gelatin (GL) and gum arabic (AG) biomolecules. The primary network structure of this hydrogel consisted of polyacrylamide (PAM), while a secondary network structure was constructed between oxidized gum arabic and gelatin through the reaction of the Schiff base, which significantly enhanced the mechanical properties, the stress and strain of NAH reached 266.47 KPa and 2175.

Postcardiotomy cardiogenic shock (PCS) is a severe complication following ATAAD repair that complicates postoperative recovery. Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) has emerged as a potential life-saving intervention in this context, yet the specific outcomes related to ECMO in ATAAD patients remain insufficiently studied.

Repurposing of Metformin to Improve Survival Outcomes in Patients With Upper Tract Urothelial Carcinoma.

Purpose: Upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC) presents a higher incidence rate in Taiwan compared to Western societies. The aim of this study is to investigate the potential of metformin in improving survival outcomes for patients with UTUC in Taiwan.

Material And Methods: This retrospective study included 940 patients with UTUC and type 2 diabetes from the Taiwan UTUC Collaboration Group, spanning 21 hospitals from July 1988 to September 2023.
