Background: Understanding midfoot joint kinetics is valuable for improved treatment of foot pathologies. Segmental foot kinetics cannot currently be obtained in a standard gait lab without the use of multiple force plates or a pedobarographic plate overlaid with a force plate due to the single ground reaction force (GRF) vector.

Research Question: Can an algorithm be created to distribute the GRF into multiple segmental vectors that will allow for calculation of accurate midfoot and ankle moments?

Methods: 20 pediatric subjects (10 typically developing, 10 with foot pathology) underwent multi-segment foot gait analysis using the Milwaukee Foot Model.

Skilled midwifery care for LGBTQIA+ people is a human right, however LGBTQIA+ people have been under-served in perinatal care by the privileging of cisgender heterosexual endosex women as recipients of care. The education of midwives and other professionals to provide LGBTQIA+ inclusive care is a critical component of wider strategies to address LGBTQIA+ discrimination in perinatal care. This paper responds to this challenge by discussing an innovative and holistic approach to introducing and embedding LGBTQIA+ health equity into one midwifery education programme in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Background: Effective disease-modifying regimens for Alzheimer's Disease (AD) remain lacking due to insufficient understanding of its pathogenic drivers. It was shown previously that upregulation of the calcium-sensing receptor (CaSR), an excitatory family C GPCR, induces neurodegeneration by interfering with the inhibitory γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) signaling following acute brain injuries (Ann_Clin_Transl_Neurol, 1:851-66). Herein, we determined whether CaSR overexpression is causally associated with the AD.
