Background: Clinical trials have shown beneficial results from lung volume reduction with endobronchial coils in patients with emphysema, but comprehensive safety data are not yet available for a new coil type, Coil #4. The objective of this study is to generate real-world data (RWD) on the safety and efficacy of endobronchial Coil #2 and Coil #4.

Methods: This is a cohort study of prospectively collected data from the multicenter German Lung Emphysema Registry e.

Fetal well-being during labor is currently assessed by medical professionals through visual interpretation of the cardiotocogram, a simultaneous recording of Fetal Heart Rate and Uterine Activity. This method is disputed due to high inter- and intra-observer variability and a resulting high number of unnecessary interventions. Recently, an unsupervised deep learning model for automated anomaly detection in the cardiotocogram was presented.

Uterine contraction frequency after initiation of labour epidural analgesia using electrohysterography monitoring: a prospective pilot study.

Background: The introduction of electrohysterography into clinical practice provides new opportunities to study the impact of labour epidural analgesia on uterine contractility because electrohysterography has a greater sensitivity in detecting uterine contractions than external tocodynamometry. We determined the uterine contraction frequency before and after initiation of labour epidural analgesia using an electrohysterography-derived tocogram.

Methods: This prospective study included 23 pregnant women between 36-42 weeks' gestation with a singleton cephalic presentation who requested epidural analgesia in active labour.

Recent advancements in cancer treatment have shown the potential of immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) plus L. therapy in improving survival rates for patients with advanced or metastatic non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The objective of this study was to investigate factors associated with improved survival in NSCLC patients treated with a combination of ICB and abnobaViscum.

A positive association between postpartum electrohysterography parameters and blood loss after vaginal delivery: A prospective study.

Introduction: The postpartum period can be complicated by hemorrhage, frequently caused by uterine atony. Electrohysterography, allowing continuous monitoring of uterine activity, may be a promising alternative for early detection of uterine atony, and thereby contribute to the prevention of postpartum hemorrhage. Associations between electrohysterographic parameters postpartum and total blood loss were studied.
