Nineteen forestry machines operators worked with two types of hand controls. Harvesting operators, who worked with their hands in pronated position, were more often on sickleave compared with operators working with their hands semi-pronated. This is one of several important factors related to musculoskeletal symptoms.

We have studied scapular fractures, with special reference to intraarticular glenoid fractures, during a 10-year period in 2 Swedish counties. There were 338 scapular fractures in 322 patients. The annual incidence was 10/10(5) inhabitants, of which 30 percent affected the glenoid cavity.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFExtradural haematomas (EH) do not always present with the classical picture of skull trauma followed by a lucid interval, deepening coma, unilateral enlarging pupil and hemiplegia. Symptoms and signs can be puzzling and complex in many cases of EH and may thus lead to dangerous therapeutic delay. Uncertainties also arise concerning the length of the postoperative intensive care in unsuccessful cases.
