Climate change presents challenges to policy and economic stability, necessitating effective trading strategies to reduce environmental risks. This article addresses gaps in existing studies by using a Markov-switching model to consider climate risk. Backward stochastic differential equations are used to optimize utility with three hedging strategies based on the concept of risk aversion.

Assess creatinine levels in French children with Down syndrome (DS) on the basis of the relationship between creatinine levels and age. The study included 279 children with DS aged 0 to 10 years who had been regularly monitored between 2004 and 2021 in a single genetics department and who had had at least one creatinine measurement. The creatinine level curves were established by estimating the median and the quantiles of order 2.

The Ethiopian Highlands are considered a biodiversity hotspot, harboring a high number of endemic species. Some of the endemic species probably diversified ; this is, for example, the case of a monophyletic clade containing 12 known species of grass frogs of the genus . The different species occur at elevations ranging from 1,500 to above 3,400 m and constitute excellent models to study the process of diversification in the highlands as well as adaptations to high elevations.

Shift contagion and minimum causal intensity portfolio during the COVID-19 and the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Using the TYDL causality test, this paper attempts (i) to investigate the existence of among a large spectrum of financial markets during recent stress and stress-free periods and (ii) to propose a new approach of portfolio management based on the minimization of the causal intensity. During the COVID-19 crisis period, the analysis not only reveal a tripling of the causal links between the markets studied, but also a change in the causal structure. Beyond the initial impact of the COVID-19 crisis on financial markets, policy interventions seem to have helped in reassuring market participants that the further spread of financial stress would be mitigated.

Genetic and morphometric analyses of historical type specimens clarify the taxonomy of the Ethiopian species complex (Anura, Arthroleptidae).

Frogs of the genus have diversified in the Ethiopian Highlands to occupy forests and montane grasslands both east and west of the Great Rift Valley. Genetic studies revealed that the endemic species (Boulenger, 1898) comprises multiple unnamed taxa. A careful examination of historical type specimens is, however, needed to fully resolve the taxonomy of the group.
