Proteins that lack three-dimensional structures are known as Intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs). In this study, we aimed to identify intrinsically disordered proteins in the Leishmania donovani proteome using various predictors that can identify IDPs based on amino acid residues and charge hydropathy. Top identified IDPs are analyzed using STRING, PSP-Hunter, Deep Loc-2.

Article Synopsis
  • - This paper investigates if smart glasses or head-mounted displays enhance efficiency in surgical procedures without negatively affecting quality, while also exploring their potential in surgical education and consultation.
  • - A systematic review of literature was conducted, analyzing 32 studies that measured procedural times and outcomes with and without the use of smart glasses.
  • - Results showed that smart glasses can reduce procedural times without increasing adverse outcomes, but concerns such as cost, privacy, and user comfort must be considered; further trials are needed to fully assess their value in surgical settings.

Article Synopsis
  • Naringenin (NRG) is effective against Candida albicans, a fungus that causes skin infections, and its formulation with ZnO nanomaterials enhances its antifungal properties.
  • The newly developed NRG-Zn nanocomposite shows improved skin permeation and retention compared to naringenin alone, resulting in better antifungal efficacy in laboratory tests and animal models.
  • The NRG-Zn-CS-Gel demonstrates significant reduction in fungal burden in infected mice, and histopathological analysis indicates healing and reduced inflammation, suggesting its potential as a treatment for skin infections.
