Background: In this article, we present two cases of patients with acute renal insufficiency with a history of exocrine pancreatic insufficiency. In one case, this was caused by pancreaticoduodenectomy; in the other, by alcohol abuse. Neither patient had considerable proteinuria or haematuria.
