Background: Against the background of inadequate healthcare provision for children and adolescents with post-COVID-19 syndrome (PCS), a model project was initiated in Bavaria (PoCoKiBa: Post-COVID Kids Bavaria), offering specialized diagnostics and care. The aim of this study was to explore and describe the experiences and satisfaction of children and adolescents with PCS, as well as their parents, with the healthcare provided in the model project.

Methods: From October to December 2022, seven focus group discussions were conducted via video conference or in person with a total of 32 participants (19 children/adolescents, twelve mothers, one father).

Kawasaki Disease (KD) is a multisystemic vasculitis of medium- and small-sized arteries. Abnormal intimal thickening may develop in the involved arterial area after regression of coronary artery aneurysm (CAA). Intimal dysfunction may induce local stenosis or arteriosclerosis in the future.

Acquired QT interval prolongations due to drug side effects can result in detrimental arrhythmia. Maternal use of placenta-permeable drugs may lead to fetal exposure, thus leading to an increased risk of neonatal QT prolongation and arrhythmia. Occupational exposure to veterinary antibiotics in hen houses at poultry feeding farms was demonstrated by biomonitoring campaigns in the past. The objective of this study was to investigate pharmacokinetics of three uptake routes: dermal, oral and inhaled. In an open-label cross-over study, six healthy volunteers were exposed to single occupational relevant doses of enrofloxacin.
