The accuracy of V_{ud} determinations from superallowed β decays critically hinges on control over radiative corrections. Recently, substantial progress has been made on the single-nucleon, universal corrections, while nucleus-dependent effects, typically parametrized by a quantity δ_{NS}, are much less well constrained. Here, we lay out a program to evaluate this correction from effective field theory (EFT), highlighting the dominant terms as predicted by the EFT power counting.

Methods: Using PRISMA methodology, Scopus and Web of Science databases were searched, yielding 624 results. After applying inclusion criteria, 67 articles were selected for in-depth analysis.
Purpose: To assess the safety and efficacy of the yellow sub-threshold micropulse laser (YSML) in eyes with uveitic macula edema (UME).
Methods: A prospective interventional study. Eyes with non-infectious UME and an unsatisfactory response to prior conventional treatments underwent navigated YSML (NAVILAS).

Background: Reconstruction of the axillary fossa represents a surgical challenge given the functional implications for mobility of the upper limb. The posterior brachial flap is a solution of choice for this indication, providing fine and functional local reconstruction, but little is known about its perforasome. This study aimed to identify the location of the perforator, analyze perfusion flow, and link vessel distribution, and propose an aesthetic refinement to the surgical technique by medializing the skin paddle to conceal aesthetic scarring at the donor site.

Introduction: Complete hand degloving injuries are traumatic avulsion injuries causing the skin to pull away from the underlying tissues and are most often caused by industrial machinery. We present the case of a degloving trauma of the whole fingers, hand, and wrist resulting in a "watch hand" by analogy with the "ring finger" and discuss alternatives and recommendations from the rare cases described of similar traumas.
Case Presentation: A 33-year-old manual worker, a non-smoker with no significant medical or surgical comorbidities, was admitted for a complete skin avulsion of the left hand and wrist following a work-related accident with a trommel-type industrial roller.
