[The efficacy of application of fenspiride (erespal) for the treatment of exacerbation of bronchial asthma in children].

The objective of the present study was to estimate the efficacy and safety of combination of anti-inflammatory treatment of bronchial asthma (BA) and therapy with erespal. A total of 57 children aged from 6 to 14 years were available for the observation. They presented with mild intermittent (n=27), mild persisting (n=20), and moderately severe (n=10) forms of the disease.

[Rectocele: clinical manifestations and surgical correction].

The authors made an analysis of clinical manifestation of rectocele, methods of diagnosis and surgical treatment of 17 patients with rectocele in the Ukrainian center of proctology for the period from 1988 to 1998. The diagnosis of rectocele of the II degree was made by the methods of clinical and instrumental investigations in 37 patients and of the III degree in 80 patients. Two variants of surgical correction were used: sphincterolevator plasty and sphincterolevator plasty with colporrhaphy.

[Changes in pulmonary vessels in complicated congenital valvular defects with high pulmonary hypertension].

349 cases of morphological alteration of pulmonary vessels with complex inborn heart defects (major vessels transposition with intraventricular septum deficiency, Taussig-Bing anomaly, double vessels departure from the right ventricle, common arterial trunk, single heart ventricle) were studied by the time and growth speed of structural vascular changes of lung circulation in correspondence with classification of Heath-Edwards. It is established that formation of morphological changes of pulmonary vessels in those defects takes place during the first half of year of patient life. Most malignant vascular changes occur in common arterial trunck and transposition of major vessels with a defect of the interventricular septum.

[A synthesis of dolichyl fluorophosphate].

An improved method for the synthesis of dolichyl H-phosphonate was developed using 2-chloro-4H-1,3,2-benzodioxaphosphorin-4-one (salicyl chlorophosphite) as a reagent. Dolichyl phosphorofluoridate was for the first time synthesized from dolichyl H-phosphonate by its treatment with chlorotrimethylsilane, oxidation with iodine, and subsequent interaction with fluoride ion in pyridine.
