This study aims to investigate the soil-transmitted helminth infection among school-age children in Gresik, East Java, Indonesia. An analytical observational study with a cross-sectional design was conducted from July to November 2023 in selected elementary schools in Gresik, East Java, Indonesia. Logistic regression analysis was employed to assess the impact of each risk factor on the likelihood of infection transmission.

As Indonesia is a tropical country, it serves as a suitable host for disease vectors and multiple microorganisms of causative agents of disease. In total, five of the neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) should be a consideration in Indonesia during the COVID-19 pandemic, including leprosy, yaws, filariasis, soil-transmitted helminths and schistosomiasis.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFObjective: In this study, we aimed to prepare and validate an Indonesian version for the Screening Tool of Older People's Prescriptions (STOPP), which is an instrument to identify inappropriate medications for elderly patients.
Methods: The Indonesian version of STOPP (STOPP_INA) was developed using modified transcultural adaptation guidelines from the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. Our method consisted of translating original STOPP into Indonesian (forwardly translation), synthesis of forward translation, translation into English and synthesis of back translation, a review by the copyright holder of STOPP, a review by the expert team, pretest, revision of STOPP_INA, field test, and psychometric analysis of the final version of the questionnaire.
