Sox2 and Oct4 dysregulations could significantly increase in the cancer stem cell (CSC) population in some cancer cells and resistance to common treatments. In this study, the synergistic effects of Sox2-Oct4 decoy oligodeoxynucleotides-encapsulated Niosomes-zinc hybrid nanocarriers along with X-irradiation conditions as a combinational therapy tool were investigated in the treatment of cancer-like stem cells (NTERA-2). The NTERA-2 cell line known as a cancer-like stem cell line was used in this investigation.

The binding of mPD-1 and its ligand (PD-L1) on tumor cells could lead activated lymphocytes toward exhaustion. Selective deletion of the transmembrane domain via alternative splicing of exon-3 in PD-1 mRNA could generate sPD-1.

The fabrication of these materials is however limited by the strict synthesis conditions, requiring high temperatures which can negatively impact the final performances. Here, it is shown that a modification of garnet-based Li La Zr O (LLZO) and the incorporation of tellurium can accelerate the synthesis process by lowering the formation temperature of cubic LLZO at temperatures below 700 °C.

Considering the strong association between NAFLD and insulin resistance, and the vital role of insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF1) in IR, we hypothesized that IGF1 gene polymorphism might be associated with NAFLD.
Methods: A total of 302 subjects, including 149 patients with biopsy-proven NAFLD and 153 controls, were enrolled in this case-control study.
