Background/objectives: Cowpea is an important legume crop in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) and beyond. However, access to phosphorus (P), a critical element for plant growth and development, is a significant constraint in SSA. Thus, it is essential to have high P-use efficiency varieties to achieve increased yields in environments where little-to- no phosphate fertilizers are applied.

Complex scoring systems for grading PC exist, however recent scoring systems rely on computer-generated algorithms that are not readily available at all hospitals. We developed a scoring system for grading PC to predict the need for prolonged mechanical ventilation and initial hospital admission location.

Despite this, the ability to predict and guide monitoring of patients receiving Dox or other anthracyclines is hampered by a lack of effective biomarkers to identify susceptible patients, and to detect early signs of subclinical cardiotoxicity. Based on their well-established roles in the response to Dox and other chemotherapies, we performed a retrospective analysis of serum and plasma sphingolipids (SLs) from patients undergoing anthracycline-containing therapy, correlating with cardiac parameters assessed by echocardiography.

Methods: This prospective, single-center observational cohort study included patients with large MCA stroke admitted to Boston Medical Center's intensive care unit (2019-2024). Associations between time-to-neurologic deterioration and quantitative pupillometry, including Neurological Pupil Index (NPi), were assessed using Cox proportional hazards models with time-dependent covariates adjusted for age, sex, and Alberta Stroke Program Early CT Score.
Lung cancer is the leading cause of mortality in both men and women due to genetic and epigenetic modifications. Our study focuses on fabricating phenmiazine ring leads by a functional group-based drug design to inhibit p53 -7A1W and MDM2-7AU9 proteins responsible for cancer cell growth. One hundred molecules are designed and allowed to bind inside the active site of 7A1W and 7AU9 protein using a glide dock platform and subjected to find MMGBSA.
