Attitudes Toward Pregnancy and Their Impact on Timing of Prenatal Care Initiation after Prior Spontaneous Preterm Delivery: A Qualitative Descriptive Study.

Introduction: Timely presentation to prenatal care (PNC) is especially important for patients with a history of spontaneous preterm birth (sPTB). Our objective was to identify factors that pregnant individuals with prior sPTB perceived affected the timing of initiating PNC.

Materials And Methods: We conducted in-depth interviews (IDIs) with non-Hispanic (NH) Black or NH White pregnant individuals who had a prior sPTB and presented early (<20 weeks gestation) or late (≥20 weeks gestation) to care in the index pregnancy.

Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate a sequence of associations between clients' pretreatment attachment style, the development of individuated-secure attachment to the therapist (i.e., therapeutic attachment), and the experience of increased comfort with emotional closeness (growing engagement) or independence (growing autonomy) in therapy.

Introduction: Gender roles may impact men with fibromyalgia, causing a high number of negative emotional states and affective disorders. There are few studies that detect men's high emotional suffering. This study examined the emotional experience of men with fibromyalgia.

Client preferences, therapy activities and preference-activity match as predictors of therapy outcome.

Objective: This study investigated whether distinct types of psychotherapy activities, the client's preference towards these activities prior to therapy, and the degree of match between client preferences and therapy activities, served as predictors of treatment outcomes.

Methods: A total of 621 clients ( = 42 years, 71.7% female) received individual psychotherapy by 54 psychologists.

Changing genomic epidemiology of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities during the 2020-2022 pandemic, Washington State.

Background: Long-term care facilities (LTCFs) are vulnerable to disease outbreaks. Here, we jointly analyze SARS-CoV-2 genomic and paired epidemiologic data from LTCFs and surrounding communities in Washington state (WA) to assess transmission patterns during 2020-2022, in a setting of changing policy. We describe sequencing efforts and genomic epidemiologic findings across LTCFs and perform in-depth analysis in a single county.
