Evaluation of the Power Up program: a health promotion program encouraging healthy lifestyle habits among youth in summer day camps-study protocol.

Introduction: During the summer holidays, children often demonstrate reduced physical activity and poorer dietary habits, largely attributed to the lack of structured routines and supervision that school provides. Summer camps have the potential to offer youth engaging and organized activities and serve as an environment for promoting healthy lifestyle habits. This paper presents the protocol for the evaluation of the Power Up program, a study which aims to evaluate counselors' satisfaction with the Power Up services, trainings, and tools, their engagement in the program, as well as their self-efficacy and intention to promote physical activity, nutrition, and well-being through the camp environment.

Analysis of Information and Health Literacy Policies in Pandemics: A Case Study of COVID-19.

Introduction: The global community, during the COVID-19 pandemic, faced a vast amount of information and risks due to low levels of health literacy. Governments responded differently to the pandemic crisis based on formulated policies and their societal conditions. The present research focuses on analyzing information and health literacy policies in pandemics to present a model and identify and prioritize factors affecting the formation and implementation of the mentioned policies.

Investigating the sexual dimorphism in isoproterenol-induced cardiac hypertrophy in Sprague Dawley rats.

Distinct differences between sexes exist in various cardiovascular diseases. Moreover, there is a significant correlation between the pathogenesis of cardiac hypertrophy (CH) and the metabolites of arachidonic acid (AA) mediated by cytochrome P450 (CYP) enzymes. The potential link between these sex differences, the levels and the activity of CYP enzymes, and their AA-mediated metabolites remains to be elucidated.

Disaster health literacy for diabetics: A scoping review towards a framework.

Due to the increasing occurrence of natural disasters, it is essential to prioritize the improvement of health literacy during emergencies, particularly for individuals with chronic illnesses like diabetes who are especially vulnerable in the medical sector. The primary objective of this study was to identify the key themes within an emerging framework for disaster health literacy specifically tailored for diabetics. A scoping review design was selected based on the Arksey and O'Malley framework.

Population genomics of a natural Cannabis sativa L. collection from Iran identifies novel genetic loci for flowering time, morphology, sex and chemotyping.

Background: Future breeding and selection of Cannabis sativa L. for both drug production and industrial purposes require a source of germplasm with wide genetic variation, such as that found in wild relatives and progenitors of highly cultivated plants. Limited directional selection and breeding have occurred in this crop, especially informed by molecular markers.
