Objective: The development of clinical practice guidelines (CPG) has evolved into a rigorous and complex process. There is a need for training of CPG developers including methodologists, panel members and patient representatives. This study explored the educational needs and experiences of CPG developers, with specific attention to the patient perspective and economic considerations.

Background And Aims: Remnants of laundry detergent ingredients are suspected to be in constant contact with the skin. Allergy sufferers need assurance that the chemicals in everyday products do not cause such disruption. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects and tolerability of common laundry detergents on the skin microbiome in individuals with atopic dermatitis.

Objective: The objective of this study was to explore the financial consequences of adopting cenobamate as a treatment alternative in epilepsy patients with drug-resistant focal onset seizures (FOS) from a societal perspective in the Netherlands.

Methods: A previous budget impact model with a 5-year time horizon was adapted to the Dutch setting accounting for the eligible population, real-world market shares, treatment effectiveness and resource use in two scenarios: cenobamate with constant market share versus cenobamate with linearly increased market share up to 20%. Clinical inputs included treatment response, seizure reduction and adverse events.

The need to optimize size, weight, and power of high-power microwave (HPM) systems has motivated the development of solid-state HPM sources, such as nonlinear transmission lines (NLTLs), which utilize gyromagnetic precession or dispersion to generate RF. One recent development implemented the NLTL as a pulse forming line (PFL) to form a nonlinear pulse forming line (NPFL) system that substantially reduced the system's size by eliminating the need for a separate PFL; however, matching standard loads can be challenging. This paper describes the development of a tapered NPFL using an exponentially tapered composite based ferrite core containing 60% nickel zinc ferrite (by volume) encased in polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) and encapsulated in a 5% barium strontium titanate shell.

Rationale, Aims And Objectives: The incorporation of economic considerations in clinical practice guidelines (CPGs) could help promote cost-conscious decision-making in healthcare. Though healthcare expenditures increase, and resources are becoming scarcer, the extent to which economic considerations are incorporated into CPGs remains limited. This scoping review aims to identify the challenges and potential stimulating factors to incorporate economic considerations in CPGs.
