Ovarian cancer (OC) is the most common cause of death in female cancers. The prognosis of OC is very poor due to delayed diagnosis and identification of most patients in advanced stages, metastasis, recurrence, and resistance to chemotherapy. As chemotherapy with platinum-based drugs such as cisplatin (DDP) is the main treatment in most OC cases, resistance to DDP is an important obstacle to achieving satisfactory therapeutic efficacy.

Accordingly, the goal of this research was to find out the level of vitamin D and messenger RNA (mRNA) expression of vitamin D receptor (VDR) in the sperm of male subjects with unexplained infertility.
Methods: Twenty-four unexplained infertile men as the case group and 22 healthy fertile men as the control group were recruited.
In this study, the electrocatalytic activity of Ni-Se electrode synthesized on nickel foam by pulse electrodeposition was optimized through the design of experiments (DOE) approach using the response surface methodology (RSM) for both hydrogen and oxygen evolution reactions. The frequency (f), duty cycle (dc), current density (i), and electrodeposition time (sum of ts) were chosen as the parameters of the pulse electrodeposition method. The analyses of variance (ANOVA) were performed on the responses of the designed experiments that included the required overpotential at the current density of 10 mA/cm for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER) (η and η), active surface area (R) and intrinsic electrocatalytic activity (i/R).
