Cervical intervertebral disc degeneration (IVDD) is a chronic musculoskeletal disorder contributing to neck pain, often associated with mechanical instability of the disc. Obesity and increased subcutaneous fat tissue thickness (SFTT) have been identified as key risk factors for the development of IVDD. This study retrospectively analyzed 245 Turkish female patients aged 40-50 years, who presented with neck pain and underwent cervical MRI between 2022 and 2024.

Aim: This study aims to evaluate the efficacy of humerus cortical thickness on coronal T1-weighted images of the humerus in distinguishing patients with normal vs. abnormal bone mineral density (BMD).
Methods: Patients (n:138) with shoulder magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry (DXA) scans were evaluated.
Objectives Long-term consequences of COVID-19 in the post-pandemic era are still being investigated. Despite the growing data on COVID-19, there remains a lack of information regarding predictors of poor outcomes among chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients with COVID-19. Introduction: We evaluated and characterized the incidental GISTs during laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy in our clinic.
Methods: All GISTs identified during laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy between January 2015 and December 2017 were evaluated. Typical demographic, clinicopathologic, treatment, location, resection margins, immunohistochemistry (CD 34, CD 117, ASMA, desmin and S100) and criteria for oncological aggressiveness (tumor size, number of mitoses, presence or absence of tumor necrosis) data were recorded.
