Background And Aims: The misrepresentation of illicit drugs in unregulated markets increases the risk of adverse health events. This study analyzed drug checking data to compare represented, expected, and actual content of alleged MDMA samples, estimate trends in the quality of the MDMA supply, document the presence of adulterants, compare patterns of adulteration, and validate drug checking against law enforcement data.
Method: The study analyzed 4719 alleged MDMA samples submitted to the DrugsData drug checking service between 1999-2023.
Context: The illicit drug supply is rapidly evolving. Equally important to gathering drug supply data for monitoring is timely sharing of information with people who use drugs, the providers who care for them, law enforcement partners, and public health stakeholders so that efforts to avoid harmful substances, take preventive actions, and better target interventions can occur.
Program: The Massachusetts Drug Supply Data Stream (MADDS) is the country's first statewide community drug checking program.
Granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) is a cytokine and a white blood cell growth factor that has found usage as a therapeutic protein. We describe multiplexed, peptide-based enrichment and quantitative mass spectrometry (MS) applied to globally profile reversible redox Cys PTM in rat hearts during ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) in the presence or absence of an aminothiol antioxidant, -2-mercaptopropionylglycine (MPG). Parallel fractionation also allowed identification of irreversibly oxidized Cys peptides (Cys-SOH/SOH).
