Background: Households in areas of socio-economic deprivation are more likely to consume diets low in fruit and vegetables. Fresh Street is a place-based fruit and vegetable voucher scheme with vouchers redeemable with local independent (non-supermarket) vendors. Paper vouchers are offered to all households in a geographical area regardless of household type, size, or income with no requirement to demonstrate need.

Essential oils from Australasian Myrtaceae are known to have parasiticidal properties, often attributed to the presence of β-triketones, which are known inhibitors of the tyrosine catabolism pathway through inhibition of hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxygenase (HPPD).
Purpose: In this study, essential oils from mānuka (Leptospermum scoparium) were evaluated in vitro for miticidal and ovicidal activities and their active β-triketone constituents (flavesone, leptospermone, and isoleptospermone) were identified.
Collagens are biofunctional proteins that have been widely used in many fields, including biomedical, cosmetics, and skin care for their value in maintaining the integrity of cellular membranes. Collagens are also commonly consumed in foods and provide a source of protein and amino acids. As part of the safety assessment for this particular recombinant humanized type III (RHTypeIII) collagen produced by Komagataella phaffii SMD1168-2COL3, a series of toxicological tests were conducted.

The configuration of the β-methyltryptophan (β-MeTrp) residue was established by preparing all four stereoisomers of Fmoc-β-MeTrp which were used for the synthesis of LL via Fmoc solid phase peptide synthesis. The most active of the four peptides was the one containing (2,3)-β-MeTrp.

However, OSA testing has not been incorporated into routine cerebrovascular management. We interviewed 30 patients hospitalized for acute stroke/TIA at six Veterans Affairs facilities participating in a stepped-wedge implementation trial to improve timely OSA testing after stroke/TIA.
