Background: Globally, gastroenteritis (GE) significantly impacts children's health and contributes to societal, economic, and health burdens. Previous studies reporting risk factors of GE in children in high-income settings mainly rely on outbreak investigations, which inherently capture only a fractional representation of the overall spectrum of GE occurrences.
