Health literate self-management education is at stake for the prevention and management of non-communicable diseases in low resources settings and countries. Here we describe the Learning Nest in Ordinary Context (NA-CO in French, aiming at the structuring of health education programs at the micro- (education sessions) and the meso-levels (adapted to context). The Learning Nest model was designed based on a combination on health literacy principles and on studies conducted with vulnerable people with non-communicable diseases.

Objective: To report multicentred use of the heavy silicone oil Densiron 68 for anatomical reattachment following rhegmatogenous retinal detachment (RRD) repair and its associated complications.

Methods And Analysis: Patients from seven vitreoretinal units within the UK that underwent RRD repair with Densiron 68 between January 2015 and December 2019 were identified. Primary outcome measures were primary and final reattachment rate, retained Densiron and failure rate.

Aims: Bone marrow-derived mononuclear cell (BM-MNC) therapy may improve myocardial recovery in patients following acute myocardial infarction (AMI), though existing trial results are inconsistent.

Methods And Results: Originally an open-label, multicentre Phase III trial, BAMI was designed to demonstrate the safety and efficacy of intracoronary infusion of BM-MNCs in reducing the time to all-cause mortality in patients with reduced left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF, ≤45%) after primary angioplasty (PPCI) for ST-elevation AMI. Unexpectedly low recruitment means the trial no longer qualifies as a hypothesis-testing trial, but is instead an observational study with no definitive conclusions possible from statistical analysis.

Purpose: To compare the rates of rhegmatogenous retinal detachment (RRD) following an anterior vitrectomy (AV) alone during cataract surgery, compared to cases requiring a subsequent pars plana vitrectomy (PPV) for dropped nuclear lens fragments (DNLFs).

Methods: Retrospective electronic note review of consecutive patients with a posterior capsular rupture (PCR) requiring either AV or subsequent PPV for DNLF over a 5-year period.

Results: A total of 20,235 cataract operations were performed during the defined period with 199 cases (eyes) of PCR (0.
