Background/aim: Currently, there are limited evidence-based protocols for improving upper extremity (UE) motor function after stroke. The Keys protocol, a distributed form of constraint-induced movement therapy (CIMT), delivers CIMT components in fewer hours per day over an extended period, fitting outpatient rehabilitation schedules and third-party payor models. This pilot study aimed to assess the effectiveness of the Keys protocol in enhancing UE capacity and performance poststroke.

Aim: The occurrence of periodontal diseases is still to be determined in large samples of major Brazilian cities. This study aimed to assess the periodontal status of adults from Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil, using periodontitis definitions by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the American Academy of Periodontology (CDC/AAP) and the recently published ACES 2018 Classification Framework.
Materials And Methods: A multi-stage probability sampling technique was applied to draw individuals aged 18 or older.
Study Design: Mixed-method approach.
Objectives: To develop and assess the content validity of a semi-structured interview that captures the lived experience of using a manual wheelchair among individuals with SCI in the real world, the Wheelchair Mobility Activity Log (WC-MAL).
Setting: SCIR-Group (UDESC)/Brazil.
Importance: Following treatment, breast cancer survivors face challenges participating in valued activities.
Objective: To determine whether a telephone-based coaching rehabilitation intervention enhances activity participation in the year following breast cancer treatment.
Design, Setting, And Participants: In this multisite, single-blind randomized clinical trial (Optimizing Functional Recovery of Breast Cancer Survivors), recruitment occurred between August 28, 2019, and April 30, 2022.
