Investigating miR-9 and miR-222 in CSF and Plasma of Neuroblastoma Patients as Metastatic and Apoptotic-Related Markers.

Neuroblastoma is a cancer that occurs due to abnormal development of the sympathetic nervous system. The dysregulation of miR-9 and miR-222 plays a crucial role in neuroblastoma development. These microRNAs have a significant relationship with PTEN, caspase-9, and MMP14, which can potentially form the basis for the specific diagnosis and treatment of this disease.

Doxorubicin is the common chemotherapeutic agent that has been harnessed for the treatment of various types of malignancy including the treatment of soft tissue and osteosarcoma and cancers of the vital organs like breast, ovary, bladder, and thyroid. It is also used to treat leukaemia and lymphoma, however, this is an obstacle because of their prominent side effects including cardiotoxicity and lung fibrosis, we do aim to determine the role of CoQ10 as an antioxidant on the impeding the deleterious impacts of doxorubicin on tissue degenerative effects. To do so, 27 rats were subdivided into 3 groups of 9 each; CoQ10 exposed group, Doxorubicin exposed group, and CoQ10 plus Doxorubicin group.

Introduction: Klotho is a membrane protein predominantly expressed in the kidneys, and its discovery was serendipitously made through gene-targeting experiments conducted on mice. Klotho has a favorable role in the regulation of multiple cellular processes, such as aging, oxidative stress, inflammation, and apoptosis. This regulation occurs through the targeting of diverse signaling molecules, cell membrane receptors, and ion channels, achieved by physical contacts or enzymatic activities of Klotho.

Faith healers are taking over the role of psychiatrists in Iraq.

Due to lack of education and awareness, faith healing has become a popular way of treating psychiatric patients. To ascertain the role of faith healers in the treatment of psychiatric illnesses by exploring the percentage of patients attending those healers. A semi-structured questionnaire was applied through a direct face-to-face interview with the patients and their companions; it inquired whether the patient has ever visited faith healers, the method of treatment the patients were subjected to, and their opinion about the benefit they got regarding improvement in their condition.
