Despite decades of research, defining insomnia remains challenging due to its complex and variable nature. Various diagnostic systems emphasize the chronic nature of insomnia and its impact on daily functioning, relying heavily on patient self-reporting due to limitations in objective measures like polysomnography (PSG). Discrepancies between subjective experiences and objective PSG results highlight the need for more nuanced approaches, such as electroencephalogram (EEG) spectral analysis, which reveals distinct patterns of high-frequency activity in individuals with insomnia.

Extracellular leucine rich repeat and fibronectin type III domain containing 1 (ELFN1) is a postsynaptic adhesion molecule in the brain that has been increasingly implicated in human neurological disease. ELFN1 is best known for trans-synaptically modulating group III metabotropic glutamate receptors (mGluRs).

Methods: We performed a systematic review and meta-analysis of prognostic factors in cardiogenic shock, searching MEDLINE, Embase, and the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials for records up to June 5, 2023.
Purpose: Individuals diagnosed with cancer experience multiple inter-related short- and long-term side effects. Chief among such symptomology is cancer-related fatigue (CRF), which, if left unmanaged, can become chronic and result in increased disability and healthcare utilization. A growing number of self-report scales have been developed to measure CRF symptoms based on various theoretical conceptualizations with the aim of promoting targeted assessment and intervention efforts.

Phytoremediation of contaminated soils using cultivars that act as hyperaccumulator plants for Pb emerges as an important technique for decontamination of Pb spiked soils. Therefore, pot study was carried out to compare the efficiency of three and select the most efficient cultivar for phytoremediation of Pb spiked soils.
