Background: Medial opening-wedge high tibial osteotomy (OWHTO) is a useful treatment option in patients with medial compartment osteoarthritis. Typically, the osteotomy site is filled with material such as autologous bone graft, allograft, or synthetic bone substitute. However, all these options have disadvantages.

The hand is an extremely rare site for giant cell tumor (GCT). There are only a few reported cases of GCT including the hand, and even fewer reporting involvement of phalanges. GCTs in small bones are typically more aggressive and have higher local recurrence and rate of metastasis in younger patients compared to long bone involvement, so the treatment is more clinically challenging in the hand.

This compartment is classically the most frequent location site of neurogenic tumors. Whereas neurofibroma and schwannoma are neurogenic tumors that commonly arise from peripheral nerves, sympathetic nerves are the origin of ganglioneuroma, neuroblastoma, ganglioneuroblastoma, and neuroectodermal cells closely associated with autonomic nerves are the origin of paragangliomas and pheochromocytomas.

Video-assisted thoracoscopic surgical (VATS) biopsy has replaced open lung biopsy, but the number of biopsy required to achieve an accurate diagnose is controversial.
Objectives: Our study aims to show that a well-planned single VATS biopsy is as effective as multiple biopsies for the accurate diagnosis of ILD by reduced days of hospital stay.
