[Traumatic optic neuropathy: Report of 8 cases and review of the literature].

Although underestimated, visual involvement is among the most frequent neurological complications of head trauma. There is no consensus in the management of these patients and visual recovery is uncertain. The goal of our study is to describe the clinical presentation and the clinical course of traumatic optic neuropathy in patients with head or maxillo-facial trauma.

Clinical Characteristics and Risk Factors of Extensive Macular Atrophy with Pseudodrusen: The EMAP Case-Control National Clinical Trial.

Purpose: To assess the association of clinical and biological factors with extensive macular atrophy with pseudodrusen (EMAP) characterized by bilateral macular atrophy occurring in patients aged 50 to 60 years and a rapid progression to legal blindness within 5 to 10 years.

Design: A national matched case-control study.

Participants: Participants were recruited in 10 French Departments of Ophthalmology and their associated clinical investigation centers.
