Introduction: Rape is a severe violation involving non-consensual sexual acts, often accompanied by force, threats, or coercion, leading to profound physical, emotional, and social consequences for survivors.

Aim: This review aims to examine and synthesize research on effective strategies for rape prevention and intervention, with a particular focus on social control mechanisms, legal frameworks, cultural change, educational programs, public awareness campaigns, community vigilance, victim support services, and the influence of digital media.

Methodology: A comprehensive review was conducted by searching PubMed, Scopus, PsycINFO, and Google Scholar for peer-reviewed articles, policy papers, and reports from the past 20 years.

Lotus seeds, also known as Nelumbinis semen, has been utilized for over 7,000 years as vegetable, functional food and medicine. In this study, we primarily investigated the anticancer effects of lotus seed extracts, particularly of the methanolic extract (MELS) on cell proliferation inhibition, apoptosis induction and cell cycle arrest in ovarian cancer cell lines. Further, we studied the phytochemical composition of the MELS by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) analysis.

Unlabelled: A cost-effectiveness analysis of FRAX® intervention thresholds (ITs) in Indian women over 50 years indicated that generic alendronate was cost-effective for age-dependent major osteoporotic fracture (MOF) ITs and hip fracture (HF) ITs starting at ages 60 and 65 years for full and real-world adherence, respectively. Alendronate was cost-effective at fixed MOF IT of 14% and HF IT of 3.5%, regardless of age.

This study expands traditional reaction-diffusion models by incorporating hyperbolic dynamics to explore the effects of inertial delays on pattern formation. The kinetic system considers a harvested predator-prey model where predator and prey populations gather in herds. Diffusion and inertial effects are subsequently introduced.
