Introduction: Qualitative and quantitative testing of ethanol in samples is an important analytical procedure that provides accurate, precise, and reliable results. Given the complexity of the issue, obtaining a realistic picture of lifelong alcoholemia requires supporting blood ethanol findings with analyses of alternative samples, primarily vitreous humor (VH).
Objective: The objective of this study was to develop and validate a headspace gas chromatography with flame ionization detection (HS/GC-FID) method for determining ethanol concentration in VH.
Purpose: This overview of systematic reviews with meta-analysis aimed to summarize the effects of resistance training (RT) on physical fitness of people with Down syndrom (DS).
Material And Methods: A comprehensive search was conducted across multiple databases, including PubMed, Google Scholar, Cochrane, MEDLINE, Web of Science, and SPORTDiscus, up until January 30th, 2024. The search included key terms like resistance training, strength training, weight training, intellectual disability, and Down syndrome.
Background: The aim of this study was to analyze characteristic and pattern of road traffic injuries in this special aging group, as well to examine the relevance of certain injuries or risk factors to outliving the injuries.
Methods: This epidemiological, analytical, retrospective, autopsy study investigated the road traffic deaths for period between 2001 and 2022. The subjects were divided into two age groups, elderly (65 years and older) and middle aged (16-64 years old).
Breast cancer represents the most prevalent tumor type worldwide, with hormone-responsive breast cancer the most common subtype. Despite the effectiveness of endocrine therapy, advanced disease forms represent an unmet clinical need. While drug combination therapies remain promising, differences in pharmacokinetic profiles result in suboptimal ratios of free drugs reaching tumors.

Analyses of SCG have repeatedly shown that they are a source of substances with antioxidant and antimicrobial properties. In this study, we assessed SCG as a substrate for the production of edible/biodegradable films.
