Objectives: This study described real-world patient characteristics and outcomes among selpercatinib-treated patients in the United States, using the Flatiron Health electronic health record-derived deidentified database (FHD) for advanced/metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (a/mNSCLC) and Optum's de-identified Clinformatics Data Mart Database (CDM).
Methods: Patients initiating selpercatinib treatment between 08MAY2020 and 30JUN2023 were included. We evaluated real-world time to selpercatinib treatment discontinuation or death (rwTTDd) and time to next treatment or death (rwTTNTd) using Kaplan-Meier analyses.
Objective: To analyze the literature regarding the use of stereotactic radiosurgery as the primary treatment of vestibular schwannoma to further evaluate efficacy and treatment-related neurologic deficits.
Methods: Online databases were queried to identify relevant studies from January 2001 to December 2020. Full-text articles in English for sporadic vestibular schwannoma treated primarily with radiosurgery and documented hearing preservation data were reviewed.
Purpose: There has been mounting interest in understanding the impact of financial toxicity (FT) in various cancer types; however, it remains poorly understood and understudied within neuro-oncology-especially as it relates to neurosurgical components of patient care.
Methods: Retrospective, single-center study of patients who underwent craniotomy for resection of glioblastoma from 2020 to 2022. OIBEE™ (Austin, Texas) software was queried to identify the subset of these patients who had a bad debt charged to their account.
Microcystic meningioma is an uncommon subtype of World Health Organization grade 1 meningiomas often associated with a shorter progression-free survival. Diagnosis through imaging alone can often be challenging due to atypical characteristics, especially when found in unexpected locations. Here, we present a 55-year-old woman who was diagnosed, based on imaging, with a posterior fossa arachnoid cyst 5 years prior after complaints of headaches and gait imbalance.

Online data sources can elucidate such responses while identifying systematic data gaps. Using a systematic review, we found 119 studies that document bumble bee and butterfly responses to climate change.
