Objectives: Post-operative pain control in thoracic outlet decompression (TOD) is difficult due to the complex innervation of the anatomical region. Poor post-operative pain control has been associated with worse patient experiences and prolonged inpatient stays. This study aims to identify evidence-based peri-operative analgesic strategies for thoracic outlet decompression.

This document evaluates evidence for the use of thoracic imaging in the evaluation of tracheobronchial disease, including clinically suspected tracheal or bronchial stenosis, tracheomalacia or bronchomalacia, and bronchiectasis. Appropriateness guidelines for initial imaging evaluation of tracheobronchial disease and for pretreatment planning or posttreatment evaluation are included.

For turf racecourses in Britain, the ground is descriptively classified and numerically quantified on the morning of a race meeting by the clerk of the course and subsequently published to assist decision making. Importantly, this includes deciding whether a horse should or should not run.

Here, we show that viruses overcome host signaling using mechanisms of immune evasion that are directly shared across the eukaryotic and prokaryotic kingdoms of life. Structures of animal poxvirus proteins that inhibit host cGAS-STING signaling demonstrate architectural and catalytic active-site homology shared with bacteriophage Acb1 proteins, which inactivate CBASS anti-phage defense.
