Growing experience among organizations working in the digital health and learning space suggest that virtual communities of practice in these areas may have value in response to health emergencies. Evaluation of recent virtual programs applied in acute health emergencies suggest that a pre-established digital learning network can serve as a valuable resource when an acute health emergency strikes.

Ischemia-free liver transplantation (IFLT) is developed as a novel clinical approach to avoid ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI). This study aims to identify the most distinguished programmed cell death pathway in grafts undergoing IFLT versus conventional liver transplantation (CLT) and to explore the underlying mechanism. Ferroptosis is the most distinct programmed cell death form between IFLT and CLT grafts.

PARP inhibitors (PARPi) represent a game-changing treatment for patients with ovarian cancer with tumors deficient for the homologous recombination (HR) pathway treated with platinum (Pt)-based therapy. PARPi exert their cytotoxic effect by both trapping PARP1 on the damaged DNA and by restraining its enzymatic activity (PARylation). How PARP1 is recruited and trapped at the DNA damage sites and how resistance to PARPi could be overcome are still matters of investigation.

Background: Neighborhood socioeconomic marginalization and racial residential segregation are associated with differential health outcomes in adulthood and pregnancy, but the intergenerational effects of these exposures on early childhood growth are underexplored. Our objective was to investigate racial and ethnic differences in the association between neighborhood deprivation and early childhood growth trajectories, with modification by neighborhood racial concentration.

Methods: Using longitudinal clinical data among 58,860 children receiving care in community-based clinics in the ADVANCE Clinical Data Research Network, we identified four early childhood (0-24 months) body mass index (BMI) trajectories using group-based trajectory modeling: Low, Catch-Up, Moderate, and High.
