Objective: Despite the high prevalence and comorbidity of alcohol consumption and anxiety, it is unclear whether alcohol consumption influences long-term anxiety. This study aimed to systematically review the literature on the long-term longitudinal effects of alcohol consumption on anxiety in adults.
Methods: EMBASE, PsychInfo, Medline, and Web of Science databases were systematically searched from inception to April 12th, 2024.
Objective: The Drinking Motives Questionnaire-Revised (DMQ-R; Cooper, 1994) is frequently used to assess adult drinking motives despite being designed for younger drinkers. This study aimed to develop and validate a Drinking Motives Questionnaire for Adults (DMQ-A).
Method: A convenience sample of 1,617 adults (25-65-year-olds; = 51.
Background And Aim: The effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on alcohol consumption is currently unclear. This study aimed to provide early estimates of how stress and demographics will interact with shifts in harmful alcohol consumption from before the COVID-19 outbreak to 2 months into social distancing.
Design: Cross-sectional convenience sample.
The effectiveness of passive modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) on chemical and quality properties of calendula flowers was studied during ten days of storage at 5 °C. Weight loss of flowers wrapped with continuous and micro-perforated-films (2-3%), was significantly lower than control (unwrapped flowers) (about 30%) and those wrapped with macro-perforated film (about 7%). At the end of storage unwrapped flowers were judged unmarketable being severely wilted and shriveled, while all packaged ones were still fresh and marketable.

Periodically in-package CO , O and C H were determined and fruit were assessed for overall quality changes (pH, acidity, sugars, phenolics, betacyanins and betaxanthines, antioxidant capacity, colour, firmness, microbiological population and sensory attributes). In a preliminary study three different polymeric films were tested to select the most suitable to design a package with a short lag time to achieve steady-state conditions.
