Microstructure and Properties of Atmospheric Plasma Sprayed (Al,Cr)O-TiO Coatings from Blends.

Coatings prepared from chromia-rich (Al,Cr)O solid solution (ss) feedstock powders are intended to improve the properties of CrO coatings, but are rarely studied so far. In this work, the processability of a commercial (Al,Cr)O solid solution (ss) powder containing 78 wt.% CrO by atmospheric plasma spraying (APS), the corresponding coating microstructures and properties were investigated.

Appendicitis during the COVID-19 lockdown: results of a multicenter analysis in Germany.

Purpose: The COVID-19 pandemic has transformed medical care worldwide. General surgery has been affected in elective procedures, yet the implications for emergency surgery are unclear. The current study analyzes the effect of the COVID-19 lockdown in spring 2020 on appendicitis treatment in Germany.

Changes in the Coating Composition Due to APS Process Conditions for AlO-CrO-TiO Ternary Powder Blends.

Thermally sprayed coatings from the single oxides and binary compositions of the AlO-CrO-TiO system show multifunctional properties. Ternary compositions are promising for further improvement in their performance. The stability of the composition during coating formation is an important issue for blended feedstock powders in order to obtain the desired properties.

[Weaning from long-term mechanical ventilation: data of a single weaning center from 2007 to 2011].

Introduction: Regional weaning centers play a more and more important role in the weaning process of long-term ventilated patients. The medical center Kloster Grafschaft is one of the oldest and largest centers in Germany. There is very little published data from larger weaning centers in Europe.
