In this study, we report on the development of hydroxyapatite (HAp) and samarium-doped hydroxyapatite (SmHAp) nanoparticles using a cost-effective method and their biological effects on a bone-derived cell line MC3T3-E1. The physicochemical and biological features of HAp and SmHAp nanoparticles are explored. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) studies revealed that no additional peaks were observed after the integration of samarium (Sm) ions into the HAp structure.

The study involved the analysis of 104 patient records from the Periodontology Clinic at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Craiova, collected between 2018 and 2019. Utilizing the 2018 classification algorithm for periodontal diseases, patients were categorized into three groups: a control group without periodontal issues (Group H), a gingivitis group (Group G), and a periodontitis group (Group P).

Artificial intelligence (AI) has already been effectively used to measure biometric parameters, automatically recognize standard planes of fetal ultrasound evaluation, and for disease diagnosis, which helps conventional imaging methods. The usage of information, ultrasound scan images, and a machine learning program create an algorithm capable of assisting healthcare providers by reducing the workload, reducing the duration of the examination, and increasing the correct diagnosis capability.
